Primary school
Weekly Sessions

Examples of what your school’s DSA sessions can focus on include

-
Working toward a performance. This could be a performance for school peers, family and friends, community, fundraising etc.
-
Supporting the curriculum. Performing arts can support classroom learning and your specialist can create a programme of work alongside the class teacher. Your students could be dancing fractions, exploring the characters and themes from literacy through drama or singing about science.
-
Dance for your PE curriculum or to help in working towards an active school flag.
-
Focus groups. Working on confidence, social skills, oracy etc.
-
Creative Schools. Initiative supported and funded by the arts council.

-
Your school will be appointed your own DSA specialist who will deliver sessions for a block of weeks.
-
Packages are available for a half day, full day or multiple days of sessions each week for a half term, full term or school year.
-
Each session is usually 40-60 minutes long for up to 30 students so your specialist can work with multiple classes.
-
The package will be tailored to suit the needs of your school. Your specialist can focus on dance, singing or acting or they can include all three through a holistic approach.

Afterschool Clubs/ Holiday Camps

-
We can run afterschool clubs in any or all of the three disciplines of dance, singing and acting. These can be added on to your block of weekly workshops or stand alone.

-
DSA can organise and co-ordinate Mid-term, Easter, Christmas or Summer camps to take place in your school. Alternatively our specialists can deliver workshops as part of your own school camp.
One-off Workshops/ Treat Days

One off half or full day workshops are available throughout the year.
Active School week, World Book Day, Seachtain na Gaeilge, Wellness week, Creative week etc.
Multiple specialists can be booked for a larger number of students to take part.
