ABOUT
Welcome to DSA – Dance Sing Act.
We are a performing arts education company in Ireland.

We believe that the performing arts can have a huge impact the lives of children and young people and that it should be accessible and inclusive.

We deliver programmes tailored to your needs and objectives while ensuring that all participants reap the benefits of the performing arts while having fun and building confidence.
Our focus is bringing performing arts workshops to primary and secondary schools. Workshops can be focused on dance, singing or acting or can take a holistic approach to include all three specialties.
We offer one day workshops or a block of workshops.

Our programmes can work as part of the P.E., drama and/or music curriculum.
They can also support other areas of the curriculum such as literacy or link with topics to support classroom learning.
Performing arts workshops benefit the wellbeing and physical health of young people as well as helping them to grow in confidence, social skills, reasoning, teamwork and creativity.
We can also help you to achieve your Active School Flag.

Rachel McNamee
Founder and Director
Rachel graduated from Stella Mann College in the UK with both performance and teaching qualifications through Trinity College London. She is also a qualified teacher with the ISTD in Modern Theatre and Imperial Ballet.
Rachel has performed and toured extensively across the UK with various dance companies in numerous styles.
Rachel’s love has always been teaching. In the UK and Ireland she has taught and choreographed for multiple dance and stage schools. She also delivered CPD and professional classes at universities and studios. She worked as a performing arts specialist facilitator in primary schools which led to her working in the Learning and Participation department of the Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre. While there she choreographed for projects and festivals including Chinese New Year and BBC Young Dancer. She also worked on projects and initiatives with partner schools in the Education Network.
Through her work with thousands of children in primary school settings, Rachel saw the huge impact it had on students who wouldn’t have access to the performing arts as an extra-curricular activity. She experienced first-hand how it can support and develop learning and life skills. Her passion for making the performing arts accessible and inclusive led to the establishment of DSA. Rachel oversees the recruitment, training and mentoring of all our specialists as well as delivering workshops in schools.
